New iPod Firmware To Enable Cover Flow?
Rumor has it that an iPod firmware update is coming that will enable Cover Flow a la iTunes. The video above illustrating this functionality looks real enough, but experience has taught me that the internet is good for three things - conversation, pornography, and elaborate fakes.
There is also a rumor floating around that there [...]
Verizon Looking To Merge With Alltel
Word on the street is that Verizon is currently negotiating with Alltel to secure a merger that would make Verizon the largest national cellphone carrier ( over Cingular / AT&T ) by about 10 million subscribers.
This deal may never go down, but if you ask me something like this is bound to happen.

Coming from most other manufacturers this would be barely even make news, but with Apple [...]

Urine Powered Battery
The Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology in Singapore has developed a urine-activated laminated paper battery that “could be integrated with bioMEMS devices such as home-based health test kits providing a power source for the electronic circuit” (whatever that means). All I know is that it generates power from pee.
“The battery produced about 1.5 volts, the [...]
