You can use this Splitterbot as a very cool keychain with a science fiction bent, but its function as a headphone splitter makes it useful as well. Just pull the robot’s head off, plug it into the MP3 player and plug two pairs of headphones into the eyes to share the music. The body is merely used to store the headphone jack and to keep you from carrying around a robot head with no body.

An alien love doll seems like one thing, a Talking Sheep Love Doll takes it to an all new level. Enjoyment of extraterrestrials seems like something that can be explained away by a love for science fiction, but there is no explanation for an action activated talking sheep. I would be very concerned is that buying this sheep could put me in some sort of government database.

The Space Story Blanket is a space themed duvet cover with a comforter lit by over 100 LED’s. You can either set it to story mode where it plays sounds effects and rhythmically moving lights for two minutes. In sleep mode the lights come on and fade out over one minute to ease you into sleep. The idea is to give kids a place to use their imagination making up their own stories, but I just want one for the sound and light show. You can complete your bedroom conversion to a place of science fiction worship by adding the under bed lighting kit. Just to keep the monsters under the bed on the run and give you a little bit of a night light.

We’ll have to wait until August 16th to get our hands on this piece of alien goodness, but it is never to early to start saving up for it. They are a little shy on details but I think the words “Channel Changer Ray Gun” pretty much covers what it will do. All I know is that I will be able to change the channel with a futuristic gun as envisioned by science fiction buffs of the past. Who knows what other powers it will have?

Typical flowers look and smell nice, but they are short lived and not real useful. That is not so with the flower lamps. First of all, like silk flowers they will look just as good as the day you got them after years of use. Second, not only do they not require sunlight, they actually emit useful light. You can use this to break up the science fiction monotony of your current decor.

“Damn it Jim, I ‘m a doctor not a bartender!”
I can hear it from Bones right now if he were given one of these for his years of service on the Enterprise. For the rest of us, this bottle opener is an excellent way to exhibit our appreciation for science fiction television. And have a beer. Can’t forget that.

I love science fiction as much as anyone, but does it get me hot? Not so much. But this isn’t about me. If the thought of three breasts, blue skin and suction cup fingers is what keeps you awake at night, then this doll is made for you. I really have no clue what the ass shaped ears are about, but there you have it.

Heating up fragrant oils doesn’t seem like a particularly manly thing to do. But I might think differently if I was heating it up using a spaceship. And not one of those pansy little spaceships. Something cool like this ship that looks like those imagined by science fiction writers of the 50’s.

Immerse your room in the glow of an Alien Baby Lamp. Looking like a cocoon meant to bring the little fetus to term, you can add a bit of science fiction realism to your room. Play your cards right and Geraldo Rivera may do a special on a real live alien.

The team behind Mythbusters is working with the Discovery Channel on two new projects.
Prototype This will be a 13 part series that investigates whether the gadgets and technology seen in science fiction movies have any real world viability. Maybe the show will help kick start the flying car and transporter. Those are tops on my list.
The second show will be Cool Stuff: How it Works. This will be a four part series investigation of how some current technology, like a fireproof suit, actually works.
There is no word on whether Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage will be involved with either project or even what network they will be shown on. More importantly, there is no mention whatsoever of Kari Byron. I say put her in both shows and they will probably double their chance of success.
