talking-ventriloquist-pens

These pens will make a ventriloquist out of anyone. The pen can record your voice, and when played back the animal’s mouth will move in synch with the words. All you have to do is stand there like you are trying not to move your lips and let your witty words coming from the animal’s mouths amuse everyone around you. Just be sure you have a good monologue, this technology does not lend itself to improvising.

In an age where you can press a button on a phone or glance at a widget on a desktop, it’s nice to know there is still room for oddly shaped thermometers when it comes to checking the temperature outside.

Musk Wristwatch

The MUSK MR2129 is being billed as the world’s largest commercially available wristwatch – and by the looks of things I wouldn’t doubt it.

The MUSK watch clocks in at an absolutely retarded 715 grams ( 1.58 lbs ) with a diameter of 9cm ( 3.5 inches ). Its features include an onboard thermometer along with all of the standard wristwatch fare.

If you would like to make a clear statement with your choice of wristwatch - namely, “I have no taste” and “I have a serious farsighted vision problem,” you can pick up a MUSK MR2129 from the product site (Japanese Translated ) for ¥24900 ($208).

I have seen watches include a lot of different functions, but not the way the Sports Utility Watch at Gadget Universe does. Let’s run down what it has:

  • Analog time
  • Digital Time
  • Stopwatch
  • Analog Compass
  • Analog Thermometer

I think it is the analog thermometer and compass that give it that eccentric look. You be the judge. Either the odd looks are appealing because they are unique, or it is a gaudy thing you would never wear in public. It will cost you only $74.95 now (50% off) if you think it will impress.

ThermoPenThanksgiving is not really a holiday that is made for tech gadgets like Christmas, but there are still some to be found. The Thermapen is one of those. It is just a thermometer, but it’s quick measurements and easy to read display make it a little easier than most. This product has been around for a while, and they are continuing to improve it. It has a fold away tip and is available in 9 colors. Almost all comments from users are highly complimentary.

The basic model is accurate to 1 degree and is available for $85. There is a higher priced $92 model that is accurate to 0.1 degrees, though available in only gray or white. Not sure how many people need 0.1 degree accuracy, but if you want it they have it. Be aware that there are separate Fahrenheit and Celsius models, they are not switchable.
