I am sure the designers had in mind what you were likely to put in this thermos more than some tribute to Andy Warhol’s art. Still, it is an interesting way to carry your hot/cold liquids around. Without that handle on the cup it would be hard to tell the difference from any distance, It would be a bit more believable if it had a particular type of soup listed. Maybe something like split pea that would keep the majority of people from stealing your lunch.

With Harold and Kumar looking to head to Amsterdam for our amusement in 2008, now would seem a good time to go back and remember just how damn funny the first movie was. You will be doing your community a favor by using this lunchbox. Not only will you remind your fellow townsfolk of the movie, you can also enlighten those in your community who may not have had the good fortune to see it yet. The included thermos just makes it too good a deal to pass up.

If you want a showering experience like no other I have seen before, check out Kohler’s DTV Showering experience. The system consists of a number of components: the DTV controller, six port thermostatic valve and a variety of shower heads of your choosing.

Mix the side mounter body sprays, the typical shower-heads and ceiling mounted shower heads to get the spray configuration you want. The controller is able to set the water temperature, which shower heads are turned on at a given time and the flow of water. You can also save particular configurations you like for later use.

You know you deserve to pamper yourself, price should be no object. Although, if you want to let your spouse know about what you will be spending, the digital interface is $1040 and the thermostatic valve is $1100.

Soon consumers around the world will be able to poop in style with Microsoft’s eagerly awaited eToilet.

Americans spend an average of two weeks per year in the bathroom,” Microsoft chairman Bill Gates told a group of IT professionals during an invitation-only party following the conclusion of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. “And as part of Microsoft’s efforts to continue to make inroads in the home, we fully plan to capitalize on that time.

Besides the basics, the eToilet includes a 21-inch flat-screen monitor in the lid that can swing out on a swivel arm when in use. The screen also features a proximity sensor that will protect the screen from “spray”.

The eToilet will even offer web-based dietary recommendations and guidelines based on “the physical makeup of the material that is input into the device.”

Other features include:

  • A delay mechanism will prevent flushing while someone is in the shower
  • eLoo technology allows for remote call features
  • thermostat will warm the seat
  • lid will close automatically
  • will detect and clear clogs automatically

So far the eToilet is getting rave reviews and the best part is that experiencing the device for yourself will only cost between $499 and $599 when it is released sometime in the next month or so.

Best Buy Connectlife

Best Buy is planning to offer a 4 foot square cardboard box filled with everything you need to geek out your home. And by the way, this big ass box will run you $15,000.

For that you get a z560 Digital Entertainment Center (a Media Center PC) from HP, Lifeware home automation software from Exceptional Innovation, one Xbox 360 (which doubles as a Media Center Extender), two Panasonic wireless cameras, one communicating thermostat from Residential Control systems, Ethernet/powerline adapters from Corinex, and assorted devices—five dimmers, five switches, two keypads–that communicate over the powerline via Insteon technology.”

The price tag also includes installation – with the exception of the high-voltage gear which Best Buy strongly recommends be installed by a licensed professional.

For an additional $19.95 monthly fee, Best Buy can also enable users to remotely control the home, check what the kids are watching, and view recorded TV shows (although, there is no sound available with the TV service right now – which is apparently in the process of being corrected but is currently ridiculous. In the meantime, the Slingbox is your best bet for this functionality).
