Astronaut Makes Stuffed Dinosaur Toy For Her Son In Space

Whatever you bring home for your kids from your next business trip will never be as cool as this little guy. It’s an adorable dinosaur made by NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg who’s been aboard the ISS since last May.

Made from the velcro-y fabric that lines the Russian food containers on-board the ISS, and stuffed with scraps from a used t-shirt, Nyberg sewed the toy together with thread and needles that she packed herself for her trip to space.

This, the coolest of all dinosaurs, will be her 3-year-old son Jack’s gift when Nyberg returns to Earth on November 11th. Yeah, that stuffed bear you grabbed at the airport gift shop is looking pretty lame now, isn’t it?
