LOVE AT FIRST TOUCH: MAGINTOSH BRINGS BABEMAGNET™ AND DUDEMAGNET™ TO YOUR POCKET
Memphis, TN – Magintosh proudly announces the launch of BabeMagnet and DudeMagnet – two exhilarating and unique products designed by artist Dany Beylerian.
Magintosh is a brand of pocket-sized magnetic sculptures that come packaged in test tubes. They are useful, playful, wearable, educational and therapeutic.
“Once you untube them, it’s love at first touch,” says Beylerian, who initially developed ‘Babe’ and ‘Dude’ as an artistic and fun concept for his friends. “The original limited edition ran out very quickly,” Beylerian says, “and pretty soon everyone wanted one.”
“I’ve always wanted to design a beautiful object that would spark flirtation, inspire creativity, and offer tactile bliss all at the same time,” says Beylerian, who lists the late artist Miguel Berrocal as a source of inspiration.
BabeMagnet and DudeMagnet can be combined for endless designs and applications. “These little darlings are truly dazzling and versatile,” says Anya Poussin, an art critic from Paris, “the possibilities are endless.” Magintosh sculptures can also be accessorized as brooches, rings, pendants or cuff-links.
BabeMagnet and DudeMagnet are built with the strongest magnets on earth and their energy is simply mesmerizing despite their small size. “They are the world’s strongest couple, ” says Beylerian, “it’s true magnetic attraction. And their bond lasts virtually forever.” Magintosh sculptures are made of ‘permanent’ magnets. Their strength does not diminish over time.
“They feel alive!” says Gary Rosenberg, a Beylerian friend. “It’s like having a pet friend in your pocket – a pet magnet. ”
Beylerian describes his sculptures as “magnetically polarized ferro-metallic neo-techno humanoid modular building blocks.”
“As I’m finding out, it’s a very sexy product… It’s an icebreaker and a dealmaker. And it’s entertaining all the way,” says Josh Metzger, an owner of the BabeMagnet.
BabeMagnet and DudeMagnet are hand-assembled in Memphis, TN. They can be purchased on Magintosh.com and on Amazon. “It’s a huge bang for the buck, and they are priced for this economy,” says Beylerian. Each costs under $20.
Dany Beylerian’s career has spanned diplomacy, political risk consulting, philanthropy and entrepreneurship. He is a graduate of Rhodes College and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. While in New York, Beylerian attended courses at the Parsons School of Design, the School of Visual Arts and the Arts Student League of New York. He currently lives in Memphis and occasionally lectures on the subject of genocide awareness, and particularly the Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust.
