Stephen King Has Written A ‘Dark Tower’ Children’s Book

As if you weren’t already hyped enough about the upcoming Dark Tower film, Stephen King has written his first children’s book and its rooted in that universe. Charlie the Choo-Choo is like Thomas The Tank Engine, only creepier.

Engineer Bob has a secret: His train engine, Charlie the Choo-Choo, is alive…and also his best friend. From celebrated author Beryl Evans and illustrator Ned Dameron comes a story about friendship, loyalty, and hard work.

Fans will probably recognize King’s pseudonym Beryl Evans and the book Charlie the Choo-Choo from their appearance in the Dark Tower story. Amusingly, Stephen King’s endorsement on the book reads “If I were ever to write a children’s book, it would be exactly like this!”.

We see what you did there, Stephen.
