Fans being fans, we’ll pretty much collect any toys you throw at us. Some of us are hardcore completists and some of us just buy what we like. I have a small collection of the standard 3 3/4″ Star Wars action figures released over the years from Kenner and Hasbro and while I love them, I’ve longed for something else. I didn’t know what I was looking for, but Hasbro has figured it out for me with their new Star Wars Black Series.
The first wave of a new line of figures will be released in August 2013, and they’ve definitely grabbed my interest. The toys are 6″ tall, feature more articulation, more details, and will hit the $19.99 price point. The initial wave includes include Luke Skywalker (as pictured), R2-D2, Darth Maul, and an Imperial Sandtrooper.
Here’s my money, Hasbro.
