Ever since we first came across the Gaydar, Dickdar and Virgin Detector keychains, I couldn’t help but wonder how accurate these things really are. To find out, I used myself as a guinea pig and ran a simple test.

Review: Dickdar, Gaydar and Virgin Detector Keychains from Nerd Approved on Vimeo.
The Test:
First off, let me just state that I am a straight, non-virgin male with an enormous penis. I also never lie about anything…ever…EVER. So, I turned the three keychains on myself and ran the test 10 times each. Here are my findings:
- Gaydar: six “Gay” verdicts, two “Straight” verdicts and two “Maybe” verdicts
- Virgin: five “Virgin” verdicts, three “Experienced” verdicts and two “Born Again” verdicts
- Dickdar: five “Huge” verdicts, three “Average” verdicts and two “Tiny” verdicts
It would have probably been better to do like 100 tests apiece, but, quite frankly, these things are annoying to listen to for any length of time. So, let’s just say if you buy into the averages here, I am a gay virgin with a frighteningly huge, superhuman penis.
Verdict:
All of these devices are completely inaccurate except for Dickdar. That thing was spot on 50% of the time. Of course, some of you might be saying “hey, if those keychains were accurate, it would read the correct answer 90-100% of the time.” Okay, Okay…according to these devices my printer an experienced homosexual with a tiny penis. But here’s the thing…shut up. Dickdar is accurate—don’t question it.
