JVC Quasar 12 Sided Speaker

All speakers are meant to fill a room with sound. They have used numerous different techonolgies and techniques to try to achieve that. Why not just have speakers fire that sound in all directions to achieve that effect?
This speaker uses 12 different drivers in a perfect dodecahedron that will emit sound in all directions. Beside being one of the coolest looking speakers I have seen, I picture hanging two of these from my ceiling for surround sound. What better way to let all 12 speakers fill your room?
