This is a picture of what is believed to be a prototype of the Argo media player that Microsoft is working on to rival the iPod. Obviously this is based on speculation, but more and more is coming out about the device on an almost daily basis. Very little is actually known about all the features that they plan to offer, but it is obvious from the picture that it has a 4:3 screen. There is also word that the device will offer wireless connectivity to allow users to connect to their home networks without those pesky cables.
From this inital look, it appears to be a fairly clean design. Who knows if it will stay that way, or if they will try to cram more and more features and buttons on this thing? While the wireless is a nice addition, it would be fairly simple for Apple to include that in their players as well. I am not sure that the device is being developed and sold by Microsoft will be able to overcome the huge advantage that Apple has today, but obviously Microsoft seems to think so. They need to remember that it is all about the whole package, including the music store, and not just the player.
