AppleApple is expected to announce a second-gen iPod Nano, an updated 5GB iPod, and new iMacs during a media event scheduled for September 12th.

The new Nano will feature increased capacities (an estimated 6-8GB) and multiple colors – including metal alloy. The updates to the iPod will feature increased storage capacities while maintaining current prices.

In more interesting news, the iMac is slated for an upgraded Core Duo processor along with the addition of a high end model with a 23-inch screen. Nice.

Not an earth shattering announcement by any means, but last January, the iMac was announced as the first Apple model with Core Duo processors – which means that upgrades to the other models are probably not far off this time around. Plus the extra 3-inches on the high end iMac screen will undoubtedly pique the interest of the Apple faithful.

Think Secret
