According to Think Secret, Apple is expected to launch the second gen iPod Nano at next month’s Worldwide Developer’s conference. Apparently, the new version will feature increased capacities and multiple colors - including metal alloy.
Estimates put the storage capacity of the new Nano at 6-8GB.
This news comes just a day after the announcement that Apple will offer movie rentals via the iTunes Music Store, and about a week after the rumor that Apple is looking into developing talking iPods.
Don’t get me wrong, increased storage capacity and new colors are great, but with all of the competition looming on the horizon, Apple will have to seriously revamp the iPod line if it wants to keep current owners coming back for more.
