If the Zune is released and nobody notices, is it really an iPod competitor? With the Zune officially released today, I was amazed at the lack of any coverage of it. I think I saw more press on the Apple Shuffle redesign. Of the few articles I did see, this one from Cnet seems somewhat typical. The title “Zune Moving at Slow Tempo” doesn’t give me the impression that these things are in high demand. At this point, even with all the advance publicity, it doesn’t seem likely to fare much better than any other DAP that has been introduced.
