The folks over at CrunchGear are reporting that Microsoft’s Zune just might come with an added incentive to share your songs.
Apparently, two sources have independently revealed that when you share a song via WiFi and the party that receives it decides to buy after their 3 day 3 play limit has expired, you earn points that can be used towards music and other items in the Zune Marketplace.
If true, this could be a swift kick in Apple’s marketing crotch – the kind of thing other MP3 player manufacturers have failed to accomplish. Still, all of this would be moot if the Zune is not widely adopted.
