Who needs clunky combination locks when you can use an app? Zeon Tech has debuted nerdy TARDIS and R2-D2 Smartsafes at the Toy Fair in London that can be unlocked with a smartphone. You just need to download a free app and enter the passcode that you’ve designated. You can’t fit a ton of valuables in them, but then again, I’d feel weird about storing anything expensive in a TARDIS. The models will be out in the UK in June and will retail at £19.99 or around $31.

With the goal of pushing music through an old Atari 2600, cTrix wrote some software and combined the ancient device with some guitar effects pedals (flanger, digital delay and bass equalizer) resulting in the ultra-nerdy “gAtari”.
