Mimoco has announced a new line of MIMOMICRO flash drives with Star Wars and DC Character themes. Unlike their previous MIMOBOT collection, these new drives are smaller and feature a microSD card reader.

The first two MIMOMICRO collections include a crop of designs from Star Wars, including Darth Vader, Yoda, C-3PO, Chewbacca, and the Millennium Falcon along with characters from DC Comics including Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.The drives are expected to launch in March.

Feast your eyes on this beautiful Bioshock case mod by Gregory Mórocz. Dubbed “Welcome to Rapture”, the case takes its design cues from an antique radio. It took several years to build and, by the looks of things, the effort was more than worth it.

This officially licensed Toy Story alien webcam stands at a whopping 15-inches tall, so you’ll need some serious desktop real estate if you want to bring him home. He’s also USB-powered, which might be too much for your poor laptop battery to handle. In fact, with power companies struggling to keep up with demand during the summer, this thing could bring the entire grid down.

Seriously though, this is a fantastically fun peripheral. In addition to the 1.3 megapixel webcam, it features glowing eyes and an antenna, “ooooh” sound effects from the movie when you unplug him, an external speaker and 2 additional USB ports.

Given it’s size, you would think that Pixar could have crammed more than 1.3 megapixels into the camera, but I suppose that’s not really the point when it comes to a product like this.

Unfortunately, the webcam was made in a 500-piece limited run, so you’ll have to shell out a whopping $299.99 on eBay to get your hands on one.

One way to do it is to use the appropriate iFixt teardown to locate the exact position of your laptop’s hard drive, and then apply a sticker over the spot made from the pattern found here. Then you can simply drill through it when the time is right. This may also give people peace of mind when they want to dispose of an old computer, but are worried about any personal information remaining on the drive.
