After lengthy negotiations, Apple and Cisco have agreed on a deal that will allow both companies to use the iPhone name. The deal also notes that both companies will “explore opportunities for interoperability in the areas of security, consumer, and enterprise communications.”
In other words, Cisco was looking for an opportunity for Apple’s iPhone to work with a Cisco product down the line. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed so it is unclear whether any money exchanged hands.
