A lot of concept devices that turn up are often interesting to look at, but offer little in the way of practical functionality. The Bracelet Phone, on the other hand, might actually have a future.
As you can see, the device is worn on the wrist like any other bracelet – however, when a call is received, the device will vibrate slightly and can be easily removed to take the call. The advantage here is not only the potential for varying styles, but also the convenience of wearing your phone as opposed to carrying it in a holster or pocket.
Again, this idea may never see the light of day, but it is certainly one of the more interesting concepts out there. Perhaps this sort of functionality could also be incorporated into a watch phone – which has always been portrayed in the original “Dick Tracy” mold. Perhaps a watch that can be removed and used as a phone would be more practical than a device that works by talking into your wrist.
