A team at Korea’s Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology have developed a sensor that monitors the health of your liver by measuring Glutamine Oxalocetic Transaminase (GOT) and Glutamine Pyruvic Tranaminase (GPT) levels in the body.
Presumably, the results are then uploaded via the phone to someone who actually understands what GOT and GPT are and what you should do about it when they are out of whack.
At this point, the cellphone liver monitor is in a development phase, but the Korean team plans on pursuing commercialization options in the near future.
