Google Offers Live Traffic Maps On Cell Phones

Google Maps For MobileToday Google launched Maps for Mobile, which will provide users with the following:

  • Detailed directions to their destination (including map route)
  • Integrated search results
  • Interactive draggable maps
  • Satellite imagery
  • Real-time traffic information for over 30 major U.S. metropolitan areas.

If traffic is heavy, road conditions will be highlighted in red. Yellow or orange will indicate slowdowns and green will be used for areas with no congestion.
