When you think about it, having a hand cranked cellphone charger could be extremely useful. This is especially true for areas that are regularly bitchslapped by mother nature.
The device can provide up to 20 minutes of illumination from five LEDs as well as power a cellphone for short calls. At about the size of a regular flip phone, it is a must for any emergency survival kit.
Unfortunately, this device is only available in Japan, but with any luck it will make its way to the states sometime in the near future.
