Heilo’s partnership with Samsung and Google has resulted in a phone with an impressive list of features that include a friend locator service and driving directions.
The Helio Drift’s GPS unit is bundled with Google Maps which will give users the capability to find out directions, get real time traffic updates, and obtain satellite views. Basically, it has the potential to replace dedicated in car navigation system at a fraction of the cost.
The phone also gives users the option to use it’s “Buddy Beacon” where you can look up the location of nearby friends or, conversely, have your own location show up on friend’s cellphones.
Outside of the aforementioned features, users can also expect a QVGA display, 128MB of storage, 2 megapixel camera, microSD expansion, and EV-DO.
The best part is that that the Helio Drift comes in at $225, which is fairly affordable when you consider all of the extras.
