Over the last couple of months there have been endless reports regarding the new RAZR lineup. Today Motorola finally pulled the wraps off the phones - and things are definitely looking good.
Motorola’s MotoKRZR K1 and K1m
Formerly known as the “Canary”, the KRZR (”crazier”) line features a thinner width but a slightly thicker body than it’s predecessor.
The three variants - GSM K1, CDMA K1m, and EV-DO K1m have much in common - but are different in ways that include:
- GSM K1 features Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, QQVGA display, and a 2 megapixel camera
- CDMA K1m features a QVGA high-res 320×240 pixel display (and therefore a larger battery)
- EV-DO K1m features a QQVGA display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and a 1mm thicker body
All versions should be available this half of 2006. Pricing should be comparable to original RAZR launch.

MotoRAZR MAXX
This follow up to the V3x features a 5mm thinner body, EDGE support, HSDPA 3G data, and the new high-speed v2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) Bluetooth with support for the synchronization profile.
It also incorporates 50MB of built-in storage with optional microSD slot along with the glass facade and touch sensitive music control keys that are also found on the K1m line.
The MotoRAZR MAXX should be available sometime this half of 2006.

MotoRIZR Z3
Formerly known as the “Capri”, the MotoRIZR Z3 represents Motorola’s first crack at a slider phone - and the results look impressive.
The phone features EDGE support, a 2 megapixel camera, QQVGA display, Bluetooth with A2DP, and a microSD/TransFlash memory card slot.
The MotoRIZR Z3 should ship this half of 2006. Pricing is expected to be similar to the launch of the RAZR V3.
