Apple MacBooks Get Duo Upgrade

Hot on the heels of the MacBook Pro line, Apple has hooked up the regular MacBooks with the Core 2 Duo upgrade.

Features:

  • Up to 25 percent faster than previous MacBooks
  • 1.83GHz or 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
  • 1GB (two 512MB SO-DIMMs) in 2.0GHz models (512GB in 1.83GHz models)
  • 60GB, 80GB, or 120GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA hard disk drive; optional 80GB, 120GB, or 160GB 5400-rpm; or 200GB 4200-rpm drive
  • Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory
  • 13.3-inch (diagonal) glossy widescreen TFT display
  • 802.11g WiFi
  • Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
  • One FireWire 400 port (up to 400 Mbps)

The new MacBooks start at $1099 via the Apple Store.
