Microsoft has a new mascot for Internet Explorer.
Say hello to Inori Aizawa, the anime-themed version of IE, which is based on the uniquely Japanese trend, OS-Tan. Inori has been revealed ahead of a debut event that Microsoft is hosting at the Animé Festival Asia 2013, which will take place this weekend in Singapore. Inori greeted the world for the first time on her new Facebook page, and here’s what she had to say:
Hey everyone! My name is Inori and you can think of me as a personification of Internet Explorer.
When I was younger, I used to be a clumsy, slow and awkward girl.
However, just like the story of ugly duckling, people told me that I have really matured and changed over the years. I feel confident in my abilities now, and I’m eager to show you what I can do.
Why don’t you get to know me a little better?
Check out the video after the break…
Yeah… so if Inori doesn’t creep you out, you can download the new, Inori-themed version of IE 11 from Microsoft’s FB page for the mascot once it goes live. Or, if you’re really eager to get to know Inori, folks using IE9 or higher can set Internet Explorer Tan as their homepage so they can enjoy all the ridiculous cuteness.
