Clocking in at a mere 898 grams (or 1.98 pounds w/out battery) and 1030 grams (or 2.27 pounds with battery), the Sony Vaio G is the lightest 12.1-inch laptop on the market.

However, the best part about the laptop is its huge 12.5 hour battery life.

Other features include:

  • Core Solo U1400 processor at 1.2 Ghz and 512 MB RAM
  • 60 GB hard drive
  • 802.11a/b/g WiFi and Bluetooth
  • Fingerprint scanner and HDD password
  • 12.1-inch, 1024×768 display
  • can handle falls upto 72 cm (2.36 feet) when operational

The Sony Vaio G will be available starting December 2 in Japan for ¥215,000 (about $1,836) on up to ¥245,000 (about $2,093)
