WonderCon: The 5 Biggest Reveals Out Of DC Rebirth

When DC originally announced Rebirth, fans had little idea of what the event might entail. That all changed this past weekend at WonderCon.

DC: Rebirth is an event series that will last for two years and continue (or completely change) several ongoing titles. But the big reveals came in the form of new characters, returning talent, and brand-new faces to DC’s creative lineup.

Check out the five biggest reveals below.

Greg Rucka Returns To Wonder Woman

The incredible mind behind some of DC’s most iconic stories (along with his creator-owned titles and a slew of the most recent Star Wars stories) is finally returning to write Wonder Woman, as Diana faces her biggest challenges yet. Greg Rucka clarified his decision to return after previous bad blood with the publisher, saying:

“When I was offered this job, I discussed it extensively with my family, and I discussed it extensively with the people at DC I would be beholden to and working with. The result of all those conversations was such that I felt sufficiently assured to try again. Everyone is trying to make right.

And they were offering me the chance to write for Diana.”

Gotham Heroes And Villains
Batman, Batgirl and the rest of Gotham’s finest return in a slew of awesome new titles — which includes the return of Batman Beyond’s Terry McGinnis.

The Joker’s Real Name

Justice League writer Geoff Johns and artist Jason Fabok announced that they will reveal the Joker’s true identity in Justice League #50.

All-New Green Lanterns

The Green Lanterns of Earth just got two new faces. Under the pen of Scott Humphries, the two new heroes team up with the Justice League and lead their own title in Rebirth.

Goeff Johns Will Write the DC: Rebirth One-Shot

What is the catalyst that kicks off Rebirth? Only DC Legend Geoff Johns knows.

Die-hard DC fans can look forward to this huge continuation of the universe on May 25th. You can check out all of the news from Rebirth in the video below.
