1UPs ongoing coverage of Halo 3 concluded today with their impressions of the game based on the 17.25 seconds of single player footage they were allowed to watch while visiting Bungie Studios.

The footage was all in-game content captured using the new Saved Films movie feature and was admittedly “slapped together,” but it was enough to impress the guys from 1UP.

Visually, the demo is everything that it should be, considering the quality seen in the announcement teaser from E3 2006. While the game is technically in pre-Alpha with presumably a year left in development, the single-player footage looks incredible, so much so that it might make some people say “Gears of Huh?

The clip was immediately deleted after viewing, but Bungie has released a new series of screenshots from Halo 3 to give you a quick fix before the next round of information becomes available.
