As a Blockbuster Total Access subscriber, I got an email today notifying me that our monthly e-coupons can now be used for in-store game rentals.
I have to admit, I hated Blockbuster for the longest time because of their overpriced games / movies and shady return policies, but Total Access has definitely changed my mind about that. The bottom line here is that with this new service, Blockbuster is opening up on companies like Netflix with both guns blazing. They know that Netflix simply cannot compete with the ability to exchange online movies in-store for new titles – and adding free games just sweetens the deal.
Blockbuster seems to have really delivered a K.O. punch here, but I’m going to hold off a definitive judgement until I have been using Total Access for at least a month. Look for a full review on Nerd Approved soon.
