Nope, no typos in that headline. This one cabinet plays 50,000 different games. It was designed by Jack Thompson and the people at ArcadesRFun—and in addition to a Samsung 55-inch LED/LCD Smart TV it has controls for four players and a 37″ LG marquee display at the top. The number of controllers is crazy with joysticks, buttons, trackballs, a 4-way stick and dual spinners that can be swapped out for a steering wheel!
Inside it’s got a Dell Alienware Aurora R4 PC w/i7 3.9GHZ six core CPU (overclocked to 4.1GHz), with 16GB RAM, 2 – 2TB hard drives and a 3GB AMD Radeon 7950 Video card. Yeah, slightly more complex than that arcade cabinet you played as a kid. There’s also a Blu-ray player, a 232 Watt Corsair Gaming Series PC speaker with subwoofer and a PS3, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360 w/Kinect.
The original version was a commission for IGN Host Jace Hall who wanted one cabinet that would play every game. This one isn’t quite the same and has been scaled down a bit but is still darn impressive. It can be yours for the current eBay bid of nearly $20K, but if your pockets aren’t that deep, you can order your own custom version directly from ArcadesRFun with exactly the games you want to play.
