If you have yet to heard of Ageia, well then wake up and smell the future of gaming. Ageia has a physics multiprocessor due to be released in the not to distant future. In fact, the company has won the Popular Science 2005 Best of Whats New Award. Congrats guys, and while I am not happy to have to buy another PC card, the advancement in physics within games makes it all worth while.
Heres an overview of the “PhysX Processor” straight from the Ageia Website:

I have seen a lot of demos comparing current hardware configurations with the new physics processors, and the results were unbelievable. I don’t want to spend another $300 on a another card either - but this is definitely going to be worth it.
