Duke Nukem Forever Finally Has a Release Date [Video]

The game that you thought would never see the light of day finally has a firm release date—May 3rd (worldwide May 6th) for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

If you have been keeping up with the Duke Nukem saga, you’ll know that the game was first announced in 1997, but 3D Realms burned through $20-$30 million trying to put it together over a 10-year period to no avail. Parent company Take-Two finally had enough and pulled development. Lawsuits followed, but the project was later resurrected by Gearbox who purchased all Duke Nukem assets outright.

So after all of these years, Duke Nukem Forever is finally a reality—you can even check out the censored trailer after the break.
