Foil Caused Overheating XBoxes?

Xbox 360It looks like two things may have contributed to the well publicised XBox overheating debacle – rushed production and stupidity.

Apparently, manufacturers forgot to take the protective foil off some of the heatsinks during assembly.

The mistake was discovered by a group of German modders at, and according to their findings, the foil could lead to graphics chip overheating.
