Free PS3 Online Gaming Confirmed?

According to PS3Land, a PR manger at Sony recently made the following statement with regard to the PS3: “Please note that online gaming will be free right out of the box.”

The site also noted that this may not necessarily apply to certain MMO’s which may incorporate some sort of fee.

Personally, I would take this information with a grain of salt - as you should with just about all the news regarding the PS3. Still, if it were true it would represent the only real value to be had on the console.
