Today, the fifth anniversary of Halo, the folks at Bungie released some information regarding Halo 3 that will be interesting to fans of the series – which is just about every gamer on the planet.
Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta: A public beta of Halo 3 will be available on XBox Live in the spring of 2007. This will be well before the actual release date.
Halo 3 Commercial: The first Halo 3 commercial will air during Monday Night Football on December 4th. Unfortunately it will be comprised of CG screens – no actual gameplay is expected.
New Halo 2 Maps: New multiplayer maps for Halo 2 (XBox 360 only) will arrive via XBox Live in the Spring of 2007. They will “cost something” to download.
Oh and by the way, the screenshot above is actual gameplay footage from a campaign level in Halo 3. Nice huh?
