Holy Cow, A Collection Spanning 30 Years of Video Games Is For Sale

A lot has happened in the video game arena in the past 30 years. Consoles have come and gone. Games have been revamped. There have been a ridiculous amount of controllers, accessories, and cords. And oh, just think of all the games and promo items that came with them! It adds up to a ton of stuff, and eBay seller Videogames.Museum is selling it all.

It’s hard to wrap your head around how much stuff is included in the auction. The seller says that the past two months were spent taking photos and creating a master list of items. It was about eight hours of work a day. Just to give you a sampling of what’s in this massive collection: there are over 330 consoles, over 6,800 games, 200+ controllers, and promotional items like demo discs and limited edition items. You have to read the description in the auction to understand.

If you’re considering this, you should know a few things: the collection isn’t cheap (duh) – bidding starts at $550K, it’s currently in Italy, and the seller isn’t going to split the collection into single items for you. Whew. Happy browsing.

Check out some photos of the collection after the break.
