Apparently Crunchgear has received a “sound tip” that Microsoft execs are meeting today to discuss plans to release a Zune phone.
Details are scarce, but here is what we know:
- It will be a smartphone that works with the Zune marketplace
- It will not run on Windows Mobile – a Zune-like interface will handle those duties
- It will sync with the XBox 360 to stream video from the system to the phone
- It should be available for the 07′ holiday season
Crunchgear claims that this information is “as definite as tips can be” – which is good enough for me. Information from the TechCrunch Network is almost always accurate. So, it looks as if the iPhone isn’t going to be the only game in town.
