Gamespot has “accidentally” leaked a video of dashboard updates for the Xbox 360 that gamers can expect to receive on May 7th. New features include:

  • 600 Windows Live Messenger contacts can be added to your friends list
  • Basic text / chat functionality with Messenger accounts / audio and voice may be in the works
  • Chat with 6 friends at once while playing games or movies via Messenger
  • Messenger friends will know gamertag and the game you are currently playing
  • Marketplace will have a dedicated blade in the UI / skin will change independent from theme
  • Users will now see what achievements they have unlocked onscreen
  • Download content in low-power mode followed by auto-shutdown
  • Partially downloaded videos can now be viewed

Nice! Looks like Microsoft did a good job with the updates this time around.
