Once again, the Nintendo marketing machine has been working overtime toying with the emotions of loyal gamers anxious to learn more about their next gen “Revolution” console.
Gaming blog Kotaku recently attended Shigeru Miyamoto’s presentation at the Digital Interactive Entertainment Conference at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan – and discovered that there is more to learn about the Revolution’s new controller.
At the presentation Miyamoto, the legendary game programmer behind such titles as Donkey Kong and Mario, noted: “There’s another secret, but I’m not going to go into that here. That’ll be for a later date.”
As you all know, the Revolution controller was shrouded in secrecy for months before it was finally revealed at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Speculation on what the device would look like and what it could do was, in the end, way off. Chances are, that will also be the case this time around.
Nintendo is promising to reveal all on May 9th 2006. Until then, we will just have to wait.
Oh Nintendo…you bastards!
