Nintendo DS Lite

It turns out the rumors about a redesigned Nintendo DS were true. Unfortunately, the changes aren’t that exciting.
The “Nintendo DS Lite” features a smaller case and a better screen with four brightness settings - and that about sums it up. (Many of the rumors speculated that the new DS might feature some media player options or internet access in an attempt to compete more effectively with the PSP.)

The “DS Lite” will be released in Japan on March 2nd 2006 and will be sold alongside the original. There is no word yet on whether the redesign will make its way into U.S. stores.
