Nintendo Not Buying Wii.com Domain

You would think that Nintendo would be quick to pick up the Wii.com domain name from it’s current owners (Willamette Industries) but apparently this is not the case.
“Wii.com is owned by Willamette Industries and to my understanding we are not planning on using that website,” said a spokeswoman for Nintendo.
This is especially puzzling when you consider that the site is nothing more than a redirect to weyerhaeuser.com.
Naturally, this will lead many in the media to speculate that Nintendo is not committed to the Wii name for their next gen console. Could we see a return to the “Revolution” sometime in the near future?
