Nintendo “accidentally” revealed some interesting info about the Wii’s Wi-fi capabilities today, resulting in the following choice bits of information:
- Nintendo’s Wi-fi connection is ready to go out of the box
- Using the Nintendo Wi-fi for gaming will be totally free
- Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam and Smash Bros Dojo are mentioned as online titles
- A “friend code system” will allow gamers to safely control their online experience.
Apparently, the web page outlining all of these details was briefly posted at (http://wii.nintendo.com/wifi.html) – then removed. This sort of thing has been happening a lot lately, so my guess is that this is more likely to be a marketing ploy than a mistake on Nintendo’s part. Fortunately, the folks over at the Feed were able to score a screenshot of the deleted page for your viewing pleasure. Check it out here.
