Nintendo RevolutionNintendo President Satoru Iwata recently confirmed in an interview with CNN money that games for the upcoming Nintendo Revolution will cost $50 and under.

“I cannot imagine any first party title [on Revolution] could be priced more than $50,” he said. “I really don’t think that there’s going to be a lot of acceptance by current customers of the $60 price tag.”

Keep in mind that many XBox 360 titles are priced at $59.99.

Iwata also told CNN that the 512 MB of onboard Revolution memory can be upgraded with SD cards that come in sizes up to 8GB.

Once again, I still think that Nintendo could really make up some ground with the Revolution’s innovative new controller combined with it’s affordable price point.

Could Nintendo be the one to win the console race?
