Persistent Guy Supersizes a Screenshot from 1993’s Doom and It’s Crazy Impressive [Video]


When you love a video game from the early 90s, and you want to see it in all its high resolution glory, there’s only one thing to do – build it yourself. So, Elemental79 took a small screenshot from Doom and rendered it to 9600×7211 pixels.

He used a composite from the game rather than a direct screencap, and it has a slightly different perspective. It took the artist about 35 hours to complete over 8 days. That’s dedication. Or craziness. Wow.
