We’ve seen home-made Pokémon Go smartphone accessories in the past, from a 3D-printed phone case that looks like a Pokédex to a Poké Ball shaped phone charger. However, this DIY project goes above and beyond. It represents possibly the best thing about Pokémon Go – it’s community.
DIYsman Spencer Kern built a shell for his mobile phone charging station shaped like a Pokémon Center using a combination of wood and 3D-printed components. The charger itself is solar-powered, and holds enough charge to power up as many as a dozen phones at once.
