Sony has announced the release date and prices for the PS3 in Europe, Austrlia and New Zealand. A quick roundup of the launch:
- March 23 is the launch date
- Only the 60GB version is available initially
- Costs vary by region, ranging from 599 euros ($777) in Europe to NZ1199.95 ($840) in New Zealand, 425 pounds ($836) in the UK
- 1 million units total will be available in those regions
- 28 game titles available, though by available they mean currently on the market and not necessarily in stock
We’ll see if all of you in those regions have as much fun with the initial launch that the US did. Minus the gunplay and violence, of course.
