Sony has finally let the cat out of the bag on the 21 titles that will be available in the “launch window,” or the period from its release on November 17th up until the holiday season.

The titles are as follows:

  • Resistance: Fall of Man (first party)
  • NBA 07 (first party)
  • Genji: Days of the Blade (first party)
  • Blazing Angels (Ubisoft) (multiplatform)
  • Call of Duty 3 (Activision) (multiplatform)
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Bethesda) (multiplatform)
  • F.E.A.R. (Vivendi) (multiplatform)
  • Fight Night Round 3 (EA) (multiplatform)
  • Full Auto 2 (Sega)
  • Madden NFL 07 (EA) (multiplatform)
  • Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision) (multiplatform)
  • Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire (Namco Bandai)
  • NBA 2K7 (2K Sports) (multiplatform)
  • Need For Speed Carbon (EA) (multiplatform)
  • NHL 2K7 (2K Sports) (multiplatform)
  • Rainbow Six Vegas (Ubisoft) (multiplatform)
  • Ridge Racer 7 (Namco Bandai)
  • Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega) (multiplatform)
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (EA) (multiplatform)
  • Tony Hawk’s Project 8 (Activision) (multiplatform)
  • Untold Legends Dark Kingdom (SOE)

The list includes three first party titles, 18 third party titles, and 14 titles that will appear on multiple platforms.

Kaz Hirai, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America describes the launch as “unprecedented in terms of volume, variety and innovation, surpassing any previous competitive launch catalog and even our own original offerings for other PlayStation(R) platforms

I don’t know if I would agree with all of that – after all, there are only three first party games followed by a list of (mostly) repackaged older titles. Still, with PS3 pre-orders going for over $1500 on Ebay, I would imagine that there are plenty of people out there who could care less about launch titles ( and the value of a dollar for that matter ).
