Believe it or not, a pre-order auction for a $600 PS3 console has pulled in over $15,000 on Ebay. Once again, stupidity wins out in the battle over common sense.
Although, to be fair, the seller has promised two launch titles, a copy of the Blu-Ray movie Talladega Nights, and free shipping with the console. Talk about value!
The seller has guaranteed that he will score a PS3 despite the reduced allocation of consoles at GameStop – but there is always that chance he will come away empty handed. It would be a real bitch to miss out on a $14,500 markup.
