PS3 v1.50 Firmware Offers Backwards Compatibility Fix

One of the problems plaguing the PS3 since it’s release has been the issue of screen artifacts and jagged edges showing up in PS2 titles played on the new console. Apparently the PS3 was resizing the image at a low resolution which caused the distortion – a problem illustrated by the video above.

Apparently Sony has finally got around to a fix with their v1.50 firmware update – although the full change log is (strangely) nowhere to be found.
